Albert J. Woofter Scholarship

Established 1993 The Albert J. Woofter Memorial Scholarship was established in 1993 by the Mid-Ohio Valley Chapter of the Glenville State University Alumni Association. This scholarship was established in memory of Albert J. Woofter, a 1941 graduate of GSC and columnist for the Parkersburg News. Funds for this scholarship are provided by alumni and friends of Mr. Woofter and the Fort Neal Kiwanis Club. This scholarship supports worthy, talented, industrious, and needy students graduating from Calhoun, Gilmer, Jackson, Pleasants, Ritchie, Roane, Wirt, or Wood counties, who might otherwise not be able to obtain a college education.
